Basic Rights
Within the basic rights of the User Configuration , various rights can be assigned to users, including system authorization, rights of use for the planning board, project data and other information.
Set up basic rights
Open the drop-down menu for each of the following units and set the required rights.
For basic rights, the following definition applies in general:
0 = No access rights
1 = Read access
2 = Write and read access
System: This right authorizes the user to edit settings and options of the system. Moreover, administrative functions are dependent on this right.
Rough planning: The rough planning right controls read and write rights for project data.
Detailed planning: The user rights for viewing and editing assignment bars are defined here.
Personnel data / Personal data: These two fields are to be seen in conjunction. The field "Personnel data" controls the extent to which Group Rights and Main Group Rights are taken into account when opening Resource Data. The following logic applies:
Personnel data = 0: Whether read and write rights exist for a resource is determined exclusively by the rights to group and main group of the resource. For example, in order to have read-only access to a resource, the group and the main group of the resource must have at least a reading permission. To have write access to the resource, a write permission is required in both cases.
Read: At least read access for group and main group of the resource
Write: Write access for group and main group of the resource
Personnel data = 1: With this setting, the group and main group rights only affect the right of a resource to write. If the group and main group of the resource include write permission, the resource can also be edited. If these write rights are not granted on group and main group, read access on a resource is possible, if the setting in "Personal data" gives permission, i.e. at least read access is granted.
Read: Personal data right > 0
Write: Write access for group and main group of the resource and personal data right > 1
Personnel data = 2: The field Personal data controls the rights on resource data without the influence of the main group and group rights.
Read: Personal data right > 0
Write: Personal data right > 1
Basic data: Basic data summarises data of addresses, contact persons, machines and articles.
Other times: Specify how absences are to be dealt with. This includes assignment bars with the identifier "Leave" and all other generated absence identifiers. In this case the three possible values have an extended meaning. Right 0 means that all bars with one of these identifiers are completely hidden. At right 1 they are displayed, but this is done anonymously. It is therefore not possible to see whether it is a question of holiday, illness or other absence. In order to ensure this anonymity consistently, the bars cannot be opened or viewed. With extended group rights 6 instead of 3 (read) or 7 instead of 4 (write), the absence times are displayed completely despite the right 1 for groups with 6/7. The value 2, on the other hand, grants full access to bars regardless of the right to the group (as long as the right is sufficient to display the group).
Invoicing: With the invoicing right of 1, users have the right to open service reports, weekly reports and travel reports in read-only mode. An invoicing right of 2 is required so that a user can process service reports in the head office.
Addresses: If you have activated address rights in the general settings, you can control the address rights via the setting. The basic data rights then no longer apply to addresses. This right also applies to external users!
Contact person: If you have activated address rights in the general settings, you can control the contact person rights via this setting. The basic data rights then no longer apply to contact persons. This right also applies to external users!
Machines: If you have activated machine rights in the general settings, you can control the machine rights via the setting. The basic data rights then no longer apply to machines. This right also applies to external users!
