Continuing a Ticket with a Project

If a ticket cannot be resolved in the course of correspondence with the ticket issuer, further steps are required, such as a technician's assignment. As cost collector for these further steps an Innosoft project must be linked to the ticket. In the following, the ticket can still serve as an internal and external communication medium and act as a bracket around the entire process.

Link or create project

If a suitable project, which is to bear the future costs, already exists in the Innosoft system, you can search for it using theimages/download/thumbnails/494470459/Objekt_suchen_Lupe_img.png button and enter it in the field "Project".

If no suitable project exists in the system, you can create one on the basis of the ticket. To do this, simply click on the iconimages/download/thumbnails/494470655/UI_Editor_Feld_hinzuf%C3%BCgen_img.png right next to the "Project" input field under "Allocation 2" in the ticket. The project input mask opens. The details for delivery address, ordering party and invoice recipient are already taken from the ticket and pre-filled in. Refer to the chapter First Steps with Projects how to proceed further to create the project. When you save the new project for the first time, the machine assigned to the ticket is automatically transferred to the project. After you have closed the project, the project number you have just created is entered in the ticket automatically.

Save the ticket to link the selected project to the ticket. The next time the ticket is opened, both the creation of the new project and its linking will be displayed in the ticket history.

After assigning a project to the ticket, further steps can be initiated.
