Planning an Assignment for a Ticket
Before planning an assignment out of a ticket, the ticket needs to be assigned to a project. If this precondition is not fulfilled, read here more about how to relate a ticket to a project.
Planning an assignment
After opening a ticket click on the action
. You can then edit the following:
Allocate assignment: You can allocate the assignment either to a specific resource or move it into the worklist of a group. If necessary, select a "Grouping" from the list by clicking the
button.
Work instructions: The title of the ticket will be used as the title of the assignment automatically. The title of assignment can be up to 33 characters long. You may have to change the title, if it is too long. A "target" specification of the required time in hours is not mandatory, but this information is helpful in order to plan a reasonable period of time and to create evaluations with target/actual comparisons afterwards. The content of the field "Work instruction" will be used in the field "Work instruction" within the assignment automatically.
Scheduling: Determine the beginning and the end of the assignment.
Finally, click on the
action. A new window will open with the new assignment. Alternatively, you can click on the icon
to save the assignment and return to the ticket automatically. The materials and machines added in the ticket are also assigned to the assignment.
