Address Data Management
Carefully maintained address data is essential for efficient customer management. In your daily work you need, for example, the address of a customer, the location of a technician, the location of a machine or the address of an invoice recipient. You can store further important information on an address in the respective data record to support sales, accounting, and other departments.
Creating a new address
Switch to the "General" section via the main menu
and select the entry
under "Addresses" to create a new address. All input fields marked with * are mandatory fields:
Address number: Click on the button
to automatically assign a number. Otherwise, enter the desired address number in the input line.
Address line 1: Enter the name of the company, association, institute etc. here. If there is not enough space, use the other three address lines available.
Country: Select the appropriate country from the drop-down list. Open the list and enter the first letter of the country to simplify the selection.
You can delete entered geo-coordinates using the
button or specify different coordinates in the
section.
Address type: Once again, select the appropriate entry from the drop-down list.
To add data for accounting, switch from the area
to the area
. To enter sales data, switch to the area
.
Once you have entered all available relevant data, complete the creation of the new address by saving it with a click on
.
After saving, you can set the respective opening hours per day in the
section.
Search address
To find an existing address in the Innosoft system, use the
function in the "General" section under "Addresses". For more information on how to use the search, see the article "Search for Objects".
Blocking an address
If an address is not to be used any further in the Innosoft system, you can block this address. To do this, first call up the address. In the area
you will find the status of the address in the "Classification" section. Select the radio button next to "Disabled", enter a reason for blocking in the remarks field if necessary and save the change by clicking on
.
Adding an image
In the
area in the "Image" section, you can add an image for the selected adress, which will be displayed in the adress search. Therefor click on
and select your desired picture.
Click on
to remove the image again.
Save your changes by clicking on
.
If you have not defined an icon, a predefined image will be used for the search. For more information on configuring default images, see the article "Search".
