Planning of an Assignment Period

Open an assignment. In the areaimages/download/thumbnails/378766376/Allgemein-Bereich_EN_img.png you can specify the provisional or defined assignment period and some details of the travel planning.

Scheduling of an assignment

In the "Scheduling" section, under "Start of work", select the date and time when the assignent will start on site. The "End of work" must also be specified. If you tick the boxes "Start fixed" or "End fixed" to make these times unchangeable, the assignment can no longer be moved horizontally (i.e. on the time axis) in the planning board. The marking "Provisional" identifies a planned assignment whose scheduling has yet to be confirmed.

In the field "Working time per day (h)" you enter the daily working time that should or may be spent on the assignment. If the assignment is also to be carried out during the weekend (for example, because Saturday or Sunday is a regular working day), select the appropriate option for "Weekend work". To schedule an assignment during a public holiday, select the checkbox for "Work on public holidays".

In the "Journey" section under "Start of journey" you can specify the time at which the technician is to leave for the assignment. At "End of assignment" you enter the time at which the technician is expected to have completed his return journey. Check the box "Continuation of journey" to indicate that the journey to the next assignment should take place after the end of this assignment.

Under "Specifications" at "Target" you can enter the target hours for the assignment.

In the section "Target times" you select the extent to which the time shift of an assignment is possible. Here you define the date and time of the target limits. Select one of the following pairing types:

  • without pairing: Set by default. The assignment can be shifted freely.

  • from start: The assignment must not start before the start target date.

  • until end: The assignment must be completed by the end target date.

  • start to end: The assignment must be within the target date limits.

The target dates are displayed in the planning board as narrow bars. Use the buttonimages/download/thumbnails/378767377/2020-01-06_14h59_46.png in the display options for manual operation of this view.

Save the assignment. The "Planned hours" display is then updated and compared with the assignment period you specified. The difference between target and planned hours is displayed.

You can also define the period of an assignment on the horizontal axis in the planning board using drag & drop. For more information on assignments, see the article First Steps with Assignments.
