General

In the images/download/thumbnails/378766578/Allgemein-Allgemeine-Einstellungen_EN_img.png section of the General Settings, seven sections provide you with functions to configure basic properties.

General

  • Export path Windows Mobile Field Service: Enter the export path in the text field.

  • URL to the app server: Specify the URL to the app server.

  • Reference URL: Enter the URL of your test system e.g. in the text field.
    Use categories for individual data: Activate this checkbox to use the categories for individual data.

  • Use main group functionality: Tick the corresponding checkbox. As a result, some settings are read depending on the main group and entered in the table "Nachschlagid" instead of the table "Nachschlag".

  • Number ranges dependent on main groups: Activate this setting for the use of main-group-dependent number ranges. The "Nukreisid" table is read instead of the "Nukreis" table.

  • Special calendar activated: Activate this setting and the special calendar is used. Extraordinary holidays are used in a special calendar.

  • Special resource calendar activated: If you activate this checkbox, each resource can use its individual special calendar with different holidays.

  • E-mail functionality activated: Checking this box allows a resource to write an email from an assignment, for example.

  • Group rights activated: Activating this setting enables or restricts further functions for a resource depending on the group assignment.

  • Show functions of data exchange module: Activate this function to display data exchange module functions. The data exchange module is a Windows programme that is responsible for the distribution of assignments in the Mobile Field Service.

  • Use table cufaktorid: If this checkbox is activated, the table "cufaktorid" can be used. It is for the conversion of foreign currencies and can be set depending on the main group. If this function is not in use, the general table "Cufaktor" is used.

  • Session timer activated: You can activate the session timer.

  • Session timer activated for internal user: Activate this function by ticking the checkbox and the session timer will only be activated for internal users.

  • Time of session timer in seconds: Set the duration of the session timer in seconds here by entering the value in the text field or by selecting the number of seconds, using the arrows images/download/thumbnails/378767299/Pfeil-nach-oben_grau_img.PNG and images/download/thumbnails/378767303/Pfeil-nach-unten_grau_img.PNG . Once this time unit has elapsed, the logged-in user is automatically logged out.

  • Multilingualism via "Uebersetzung" table: Here it is defined whether the table "Uebersetzung" is used for the translation of some columns in a search or for selection lists. If e.g. the table for machine types (MASCHTYP) is loaded, then with the user language english the view "MASCHTYP_1" is loaded. The translations can be maintained e.g. for the machine types in the general settings in the Machine area under Machine types. Otherwise only the standard table would be displayed.

Display settings

This section provides you with two checkboxes to customise the display. Decide whether (main-) groups are to be sorted by name.

Locks

Herer you can activate a lock on addresses, assignments, tickets or projects by placing a tick in the corresponding checkbox. A lock means that if a user has opened an address, for example, then it cannot be edited by another user.

Protocol settings

Use the checkboxes to select the applications to be protocolled. First of all check the box "Logging activated". You can then activate logging for project processing, assignment processing, address processing, machine processing, ticket processing, resource processing, weekly and service report processing.

QR reports

Check "QR reports enabled" to use this function. The subsequent text fields offer the following functions:

  • QR report path: Set the path to the storage location of the report files.

  • QR output path: Set the path to the storage location of the PDF files generated in the report.

  • Default e-mail for QR reports: Enter the e-mail address to be used by default for QR reports.

  • Default date format for signatures in QR reports: Use this function to automatically use a certain format for the date for the signature of a QR report.

Calendar

You can edit existing calendars or delete them or create new calendars. A click on the filter symbol images/download/thumbnails/378767180/Filter-inaktiv_img.png lets you customise the table view of the calendars.

Languages

Activate or deactivate existing languages or add further languages to the language pool displayed in a table. Click on the filter symbol images/download/thumbnails/378767180/Filter-inaktiv_img.png to customise the table view of the languages.

SmartSearch

Here you can adjust all settings that affect the SmartSearch functionality. The following settings are available:

  • URL to SmartSearch: Enter the URL to the SmartSearch.

  • Document category for PDFs: All PDF files that are favoured in the SmartSearch functionality are assigned to the specified document category.

  • Document category for tickets: Documents favoured in a ticket are assigned to the specified document category.

  • Document category for assignments: Documents favoured in an assignment are assigned to the specified document category.

Password recovery

Activate the checkbox if the password recovery function should be used. Then enter the sender data and set the timeout times in minutes for resending an email and for the link to expire. To use this function the Innosoft FileSender must be set set up.

Authorizations

As system administrator, you can call up and change general settings (RechtSys =2).
